With Raw General Manager Adam Pearce having simultaneously ran Raw and SmackDown for more than three years, Triple H thought it wise to give Pearce some backup. Enter Aldis.
On the Oct. 13, 2023, episode of SmackDown, Aldis was introduced as the new GM of the blue brand, and he immediately made his mark. From announcing Kevin Owens as the Superstar that was traded to SmackDown when Jey Uso was dealt to Raw, making high-profile matches between Charlotte Flair and WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY, and even introducing himself to blockbuster free agent Jade Cargill, Aldis enjoyed a wildly successful first night.
Aldis follows in the footsteps of some iconic SmackDown GM's, but going by his first actions in charge, Aldis should have no problem setting a new standard on the blue brand.
