August 28, 2007
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Some people mark their 20th anniversary with a candlelit dinner at a quiet restaurant. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of SummerSlam, however, WWE took a slightly different approach. On Sunday, more than 17,000 roaring fans helped celebrate the Biggest Party of the Summer at the Continental Airlines Arena and witnessed two of the most exciting resurrections in sports-entertainment history, the return of Rey Mysterio and Triple H.
No mom for Mr. McMahon, instead gets Mae
August 27, 2007
“Old chicken makes good soup.” No, Mr. McMahon’s words at SummerSlam won’t be a slogan for Campbell’s Soup. But they summed up the Chairman’s night as he opened an invitation to the woman who mothered his illegitimate son. Mr. McMahon had hoped the woman would show up at SummerSlam and reveal which WWE Superstar is his illegitimate son.

Point-Counterpoint: Lawler says Triple H is King of Kings
August 24, 2007
Perhaps no one knows more about being a king in sports-entertainment than WWE Hall of Famer, Jerry “The King” Lawler. Since King Booker challenged the Hall of Famer’s right to call himself “King,” the two have spared verbally. King Booker even brutalized Lawler when he informed him that he would face The King of Kings, Triple H, at SummerSlam. As Lawler recuperated from injuries, it came as no surprise who he supports in Sunday’s royal showdown.

Droz makes his picks for SummerSlam

As a former member of King Booker’s royal court on SmackDown, Raw GM William Regal knows the former World Heavyweight Champion well. And as a native of England, Regal is a unique authority on what makes a true king. As Regal sipped Earl Grey tea, WWE.com recently caught up with him and got his thoughts on Sunday's SummerSlam matchup between King Booker and The King of Kings, Triple H.
Champ wounded and vulnerable
August 21, 2007
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The ringing in WWE Champion John Cena’s ears was louder than ever. He held the back of his throbbing head and grimaced as WWE officials tended to him after Raw. At first, The Champ shrugged away the officials. But then he sighed and reluctantly let them flash a light in his eyes.
Chavo (un)masks his contempt
August 21, 2007
It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Apparently, someone forgot to inform Chavo Guerrero. For two weeks running he has mocked his former amigo Rey Mysterio using a replica of the Master of the 619's mask. All the animosity Guerrero feels is certain to boil over when the two Mexican warriors meet up again at Sunday's SummerSlam.
