LOS ANGELES -- Despite Jack Swagger wanting to use MVP as a stepping stone to the next stage of his career, The Franchise Playa denied him of that opportunity at SummerSlam Sunday night, topping everything Swagger threw at him and picking up the win. (PHOTOS)

Things are far from over between these two, as what has been deemed a "culture clash" has evolved into something more resembling a war between two very different worlds.

"The All-American American" has found himself in WWE following a very impressive collegiate athletic career, while The Ballin' Superstar has had to battle back from a prison sentence - a result of his own bad decisions. MVP is now looking to make up for that lost time.

Although the disdain that boils between these two stems from background differences, the rivals are both tremendous athletes and proved that again as they faced off at the STAPLES Center Sunday night.

Throughout the match, it looked like either man could walk away the winner at any moment, but when it all came down to it, MVP nailed Swagger with the Playmaker and took home the victory.

At SummerSlam, the former United States Champion may have won the battle by getting the pin. But in the end, who will win the war between Swagger and MVP?
