Jake “The Snake” Roberts hypes Cubs fans before Game 6 of World Series

It has been 108 years since the Chicago Cubs have won the World Series. Just a few days ago, they trailed the Cleveland Indians three games to one and it looked as though the curse would continue. However, with celebrities like Chicago native Bull Murray in their corner, the Cubs managed to stay alive and force a Game 6.

Before the first pitch was thrown at Cleveland’s Progressive Field Tuesday night, the Cubs got a boost from an unlikely source: WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

In a viral YouTube video posted by Diamond Dallas Page, Roberts rallied the Chicago faithful with his legendary gruff but intensely impassioned voice. The video was specifically aimed at Roberts’ unique connection to the Chi-Town ball club – Game 6 starting pitcher Jake Arrieta, who has adopted the moniker of Jake “The Snake.“

Roberts’ rallying cry worked with great result – the Cubs won Game 6, tying the World Series and keeping their championship hopes alive.
