Finally … The Rock has come back to WrestleMania!
Well, WrestleMania weekend, anyway. That's right, the Hollywood box-office Superstar, nine-time World Champion and The Most Electrifying Man in Sports-Entertainment, The Rock, will be a part of one of the most anticipated weekends on the WWE Calendar.
On the eve of WrestleMania XXIV, The Rock will be on hand in Orlando, Fla., to induct two very special men into the WWE Hall of Fame -- his father, Rocky Johnson, and his grandfather, the legendary High Chief Peter Maivia.
In 1996, The Rock debuted in WWE as Rocky Maivia, blending together his father and grandfather's names in tribute to their success and influence. Now, a dozen years later, the whole sports-entertainment community will smell what The Rock is cookin' when the third-generation Superstar sends his father and grandfather into the pantheon of the elite.
The High Chief and his son-in-law join Ric Flair -- whose inductor has yet to be announced -- and more Legends in the Class of 2008.
Want to be there to see Flair, Johnson, Maivia and more inducted into the Hall of Fame? Tickets for the 2008 Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will go on sale on Saturday, March 1. Stay tuned to WWE.com as more ticket info becomes available, and stick with WWE.com as more Hall of Fame inductees are announced in the coming weeks.
