Diva Search begins tonight on RAW

WWE.com has been camped out backstage at the Tyson Events Center, the home for tonight's RAW, for all the latest breaking news and developments involving this year's $250,000 Diva Search Contest. Tonight, each hopeful will have their one and only chance to make a lasting first impression on the fans, who hold the power to place them into the ranks of the sexiest women on television—the WWE Divas.

All eight Diva Search contestant finalists have arrived in Sioux City, and along with looking as gorgeous as ever, it's obvious the excitement and nervousness of opening night has been on all of their minds. Each beauty understands how meticulous WWE fans are about their Divas, and all eight are anxious to prove they deserve this opportunity. Telescope Inc., the people responsible for counting votes on show like American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance?, have taken the responsibility for the Diva Search and are anticipating the vote count to explode. Telescope has assured WWE.com that they have taken every precaution to ensure that each vote that is submitted will be counted. (Read what Telescope Inc. reps. had to say about their role in this year's Diva Search by clicking here.)

The voting opens tonight at 10 p.m. and fans can text message their votes up to 10 times per week to do their part to make sure their favorite 2006 Diva Search Contestant travels to the next round. Those who use text messages are automatically entered into the sweepstakes for a weekly prize of $2,500 and a grand prize of $25,000. Fans also have the option of filling out an entry form online or sending one in via regular mail.

The long road towards becoming one of the elite WWE Divas starts tonight, and continues on Friday Night SmackDown (8/7 CT on UPN). Let WWE know who you want to be the winner by making sure you're involved in the voting. Which contestant will stick out from the pack and eventually find themselves alongside the most prestigious women in sports-entertainment? It all starts tonight on RAW, live on USA at 9/8 CT.
