“The Drifter” Elias Samson has been saying for months that he is what NXT needs. He’ll have a chance to prove that tonight, when he faces one of NXT’s hottest Superstars, Shinsuke Nakamura.

The King of Strong Style showed the NXT Universe what he was made of at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, winning an epic encounter against Sami Zayn, then going on to decimate “The Perfect 10” Tye Dillinger with his devastating Kinshasa knee strike.

However, NXT General Manager William Regal has been listening to the soulful crooning of “The Drifter,” looking into Samson’s lyrics and deciphering that he’s looking for an opportunity. With that, Regal has given the wandering musician a huge opportunity to take on the world-travelled Nakamura.
