For more than 390 days, Pete Dunne has stood atop the U.K. division, proudly defending the title against anyone who’s crossed his path. Since winning the championship in May 2017, The BruiserWeight has defeated fellow U.K. competitors like Wolfgang and former titleholder Tyler Bate. He’s turned back the challenges of Americans Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong and Canada’s Kyle O’Reilly. Dunne’s opponent won’t be known until the tournament concludes one night before the scheduled title defense, meaning The BruiserWeight must prepare for a wide swathe of possibilities.
