Hulk Hogan vs. Sgt. Slaughter
WWE Championship

Hulk Hogan's match against Sgt. Slaughter at WrestleMania VII was more than a match for Slaughter's WWE Championship. Shadowed by the fallout of the Gulf War, Hogan was hell-bent on defeating the Iraqi sympathizer for the honor of America, proving that he was a true American hero.

Though Hogan dominated the early part of the match, Slaughter did not roll over and surrender the championship. The evil Sarge delivered a brutal beating, and even bloodied the challenger. But as was the case for most of Hogan's opponents, Slaughter learned that his evil intentions were not enough to destroy Hogan. Hogan would recover to defeat Slaughter, win his fourth WWE Championship and celebrate with Old Glory in the center of the ring.
