Finlay comes forward

This past week, rumors have been running wild about why Finlay turned into a raging Irishman on SmackDown and beat Batista to a pulp. This Friday night, Finlay will address why he attacked the Animal.

Last week, Friday Night SmackDown came to a close as Finlay shouted the words, "I am your worst nightmare," at the bruised, battered and barely conscious Batista. Those words have no doubt been echoing in the Animal's mind since. In that night's main event between World Heavyweight Champion King Booker and Batista, Finlay helped his king when he caught the challenger off guard with his shillelagh. But he didn't stop there; after Booker got the three-count, Finlay entered the ring and, trusty shillelagh in hand, he worked on the wound he made moments earlier.

WWE.com had the opportunity to speak with Finlay before SmackDown and asked him to comment on the pending announcement.

"Listen, I took Batista's head off last week," he said. "Everybody's seen it. There's nothing more to talk about. Mind your business."

When asked if Little Bastard would be in attendance, Finlay pleaded ignorance.

"I don't know who you're talking about. You're on drugs just like everybody else around here. You're seeing things."

Little Bastard does in fact show up, but in the strangest of ways. And Finlay was in for a major surprise of his own. Watch SmackDown and find out what it is at 8/7 CT on UPN.
