SmackDown not letting up

Friday Night SmackDown shows no signs of applying the brakes. On the contrary, MyNetwork TV's most watched telecast has once again punched the gas, delivering an unprecedented 2.2 U.S. household rating for the Jan. 23 installment.

To put the success of SmackDown in perspective, check out these numbers:

> The Jan. 23 SmackDown delivered four million viewers to MyNetwork TV and proved to be the most watched telecast in the network's history among households and total viewers (based on live viewing or DVR viewing until 3 a.m. Friday night).
> SmackDown has broken the record for the most watched telecast in MyNetwork TV history 11 times in its first 17 weeks on air.
> The 2.6 million male viewers watching SmackDown on Friday night more than doubled the male audience watching the Winter X Games on ESPN.
> More persons aged 18-34 watched SmackDown on Friday night than Flashpoint (CBS), Howie Do It (NBC), Wife Swap (ABC), Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader (FOX), Friday Night Lights (NBC) or any other program on cable.

Congratulations to Friday Night SmackDown, MyNetwork TV and YOU, the WWE Universe, for continuing to make SmackDown destination television!
