John Laurinaitis will decide Sheamus' fate tonight on SuperSmackDown LIVE

What fate awaits World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus after he attacked a WWE referee? WWE.com has just learned the answer to that question will come tonight, during the special SuperSmackDown LIVE “Blast from the Past.” (WATCH PREVIEW)

Last Friday night on SmackDown – after Alberto Del Rio had cheated The Celtic Warrior out of their main event match that earned him a future World Title opportunity – the frustrated Great White Brogue Kicked referee Chris Patton (WATCHPHOTOS | FULL RESULTS). This provoked at instant backlash from Patton’s fellow officials (WATCH), before the still-recovering referee called for the World Heavyweight Champion to be fired (WATCH).

Although SmackDown and Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis has already fined Sheamus for the incident, rumors and speculation have been running wild since it happened,  with the ultimate fate of the World Heavyweight Champion still unknown. Will Sheamus be stripped of the World Title outright, just nine days after winning it on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Or will The Great White be suspended and possibly fired?
