Will Sting bring down The Authority?

While it’s true that since emerging on the scene at Survivor Series, The Vigilante known as Sting has made his presence felt against WWE COO Triple H by thwarting The King of Kings at every turn, is it possible that The Stinger will finally cause the destruction of The Authority at WrestleMania 31?

Many Superstars have attempted to stand up to The Authority, only to have WWE’s powers-that-be reassert their dominance by using their influence, as well as their considerable forces, to their advantage. Case in point, though Sting’s first appearance inside a WWE ring at Survivor Series helped Team Cena knock The Game and Stephanie McMahon out of WWE, Seth Rollins, Big Show, Kane and J&J Security were able to reinstate the faction and eventually return to power. Cut off The Authority’s head, it grows back.

But times are changing on The Road to WrestleMania and, in recent weeks, there have been some visible cracks in the foundation of The Authority, with their forces seemingly coming apart at the seams at times. Week after week, one never knows whether Big Show and Kane will be on the same page or bickering nonstop. Randy Orton made a fool out of the group as a whole before utterly dismantling Seth Rollins. J&J Security is quite simply taking a general beating on a regular basis. All the while, Triple H has been the victim of numerous Sting mind games. Add the fact that The Vigilante was able to stand tall over the powerful faction alongside The Viper this past Monday on Raw, and you could have a true sign of things to come. If so, Sting could very well be the Superstar who will take down The Authority for good.

The painted Superstar is no stranger to opposing commanding factions, as in the past he has stood up against the likes of The Four Horsemen and The nWo. If anyone can take down the most dominant force in WWE, it’s The Icon. Not to mention, he has had 13 years to cultivate his plan, working out every contingency and every move as he waited for the right moment to strike.

However, where The Authority is concerned there is always a Plan B … and C … and D, for that matter. Not to mention that Triple H isn’t called The Cerebral Assassin for nothing. Underneath his corporate suit still stands one of the most elite warriors in the history of WWE. And, no matter how fierce and determined Sting may be, his pride and resolve may be his downfall. The Game is not about to give up his power without an epic fight, especially on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

With The Showcase of the Immortals on the horizon, the WWE Universe is anxiously waiting for the showdown between Sting and Triple H. Since debuting last November, The Vigilante has clearly gotten the best of The Game, and one has to wonder if Sting will be the man to take down The Authority once and for all.
