Miz's Tag Team Championships

The Miz & John Morrison look to capture the Tag Team Titles from Matt Hardy & MVP.

During Miz’s beginnings in WWE, he forged a strong bond with John Morrison. The duo talked up themselves as the greatest tag team of the 21st century. Together with Morrison, Miz captured his first title in WWE when the two defeated Matt Hardy & MVP on the Nov. 16, 2007, edition of SmackDown, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship. Their first reign lasted until July 20, 2008, when they were unseated by Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder.

Miz and Morrison struck gold again on Dec. 13, 2008, by defeating CM Punk & Kofi Kingston at a WWE live event in Hamilton, Ontario, to capture the World Tag Team Championship. They held the titles until Apr. 5, 2009, when they were beaten by Carlito & Primo.

In his final tag team run, Miz paired with Big Show to unseat D-Generation X for the Unified Tag Team Championship on the Feb. 8, 2010 edition of Raw. Two months later, they were beaten by David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd on Apr. 26, 2010.

Miz cashes in to become WWE Champion

Raw: The Miz cashes in his Money in the Bank contract against Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship

Although Randy Orton had successfully defended his title against Wade Barrett at Survivor Series 2010 and again the next night on Raw, The Nexus decided to make him pay with a savage beating. Then, like a shark sensing blood in the water, The Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on the vulnerable Viper to claim the WWE Championship.

Miz’s first Intercontinental Championship

With WWE Hall of Famer Bret "Hit Man" Hart as the guest ring announcer, Christian defends his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz.

Serving as guest ring announcer for the Intercontinental Title Match at Raw 1,000, Bret "Hit Man" Hart told the WWE Universe that one of the greatest moments of his career was when he defeated Mr. Perfect for the Intercontinental Championship. Next, The Excellence of Execution introduced Christian and his mystery opponent, The Miz. (PHOTOS | RAW 1,000 COVERAGE)

Christian threw caution to the wind early in the matchup by leaping onto Miz from the top turnbuckle with a flying crossbody. The daring maneuver took its toll on the Intercontinental Champion, however, as he landed hard on his knee. The Awesome One then targeted Christian's weakened joint while on the arena floor and slammed him into the steel ring steps.

Next, Christian borrowed a page out of his former tag team partner Edge's book by attempting a Spear, but found himself on the receiving end of a vicious DDT. Miz kept up the attack and stunned Captain Charisma with a Skull-Crushing Finale for the victory. With the win, Miz became the 21st Triple Crown Champion in WWE history.
