What Will the Board Decide?

What Will the Board Decide?

UPDATED TUESDAY, FEB. 28 at 2:15 a.m. ET

WWE's Board of Directors informed WWE.com that there will be a change in leadership for next week’s Raw SuperShow and SmackDown. The Board’s official statement on the futures of SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long (@GMSmackDown) and Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis (@WWERawGM) will be released exclusively on WWE.com today at 10:00 a.m. ET.

Speculation is running rampant in the WWE Universe about the possibility that either one or both GMs may be suspended or even terminated following incidents on last week’s SmackDown (MORE) and tonight’s Raw SuperShow.

If that is indeed what the Board has planned for its announcement tomorrow morning, many more questions arise. Such as, if the GMs are to be fired, who might replace them? While WWE COO Triple H seems like a natural fit, he is currently preparing for an epic WrestleMania showdown with Undertaker. Would this preclude The Game from stepping in?

And speaking of The Show of Shows – which is just a litle more than a month away – how might a GM shakeup affect Superstars on The Road to WrestleMania?

The ongoing power struggle between the warring GMs may very well be nearing its apex, and while the Board of Directors will make their official announcement today at 10:00 a.m., there’s still plenty of time for the WWE Universe to weigh in.
