Mark Coffey to challenge Tyler Bate, Meiko Satomura to defend against Amale on NXT UK

NXT UK

A loaded edition of NXT UK is set to feature Mark Coffey challenging Tyler Bate for the NXT UK Heritage Cup, the legendary Meiko Satomura defending her NXT UK Women’s Championship against the feisty Amale, and NXT UK Champion WALTER and challenger Ilja Dragunov participating in a press conference prior to their title clash.

The first Triple Crown Champion in NXT UK history, Bate has racked up an impressive record in Heritage Cup Rules Matches, having taken the prize from A-Kid while as well as defeated accomplished Superstars such as Jack Starz, Noam Dar and Dave Mastiff.

Another slugfest awaits, as Bate will defend against Mark Coffey, a no-nonsense brawler who is in the middle of a “friendly competition” with his Gallus mates to find out who can achieve the most success in singles competition.

Speaking of highly anticipated title bouts, NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura, who recently snapped Kay Lee Ray’s seemingly never-ending title reign, will make her first defense against Amale. The challenger has made no secret of her desire for more opportunities.

NXT UK

Believing that she hasn’t gotten a fair shake on NXT UK, Amale has recently committed several ruthless backstage attacks and even confronted the battle-tested titleholder to her face, vowing to take her championship before being met with a right hand.

And just one week before brutalizing each other in an NXT Title Match that won’t be for the faint of heart, WALTER and Dragunov are primed to participate in what is certain to be a tense press conference.

The Mad Russian came within an eyelash of unseating The Ring General for the title in October, but he suffered apparent trauma from the encounter with the bruising champion, which caused Dragunov to endure months of anguish and inner turmoil.

Plus, Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith will tangle with Teoman and Rohan Raja in what will be a heated tag team bout.

Don’t miss an incredible episode of NXT UK, streaming Thursday at 8 ET/3 BST on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else!
