After losing to Jacquelyn when the Women's Championship was reintroduced to WWE, Sable got her rematch at the Survivor Series. Shane McMahon was the special guest referee since the rivalry was becoming so heated. Marc Mero interfered on Jacquelyn's behalf, but Sable powerbombed Mero on the floor and then powerbombed Jacquelyn for the pin and her first Women's Championship.
