David Otunga featured in Muscle & Fitness

WWE Superstar David Otunga appears in the November 2012 issue of Muscle & Fitness magazine, on newsstands now.

In the issue — which also includes interviews with “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry and WWE Alumnus Batista — Otunga is spotlighted for his vigorous training regimen and unmatched physique.

“Being in Muscle & Fitness really means a lot to me because that was the first magazine I ever read as a kid,” the well-muscled former WWE Tag Team Champion told WWE.com of his appearance in the magazine, which has honored sports-entertainment icons such as John Cena, Triple H and Mr. McMahon in the past. “I used to see the guys in there, and look at their amazing physiques, and I would aspire to be like that. Now, to be in that magazine, it’s a dream come true.”

When describing his workout routine, Otunga said he adheres to the same tactics that not only earned him a degree from the prestigious Harvard Law School, but also an impressive 20-0 undefeated streak as an attorney. ( MORE ON DAVID OTUNGA)

“It’s all about consistency,” Otunga said, sipping from one of his signature travel coffee mugs. “I go to the gym every day and twice on Sundays. I’m always pushing myself, whether it’s weights, my diet or staying hydrated. Do you know how important it is to stay hydrated? I drink eight bottles of water a day.”

Otunga also drinks plenty of coffee, which in addition to keeping his mind sharp in the ring, actually helps him maintain his chiseled form.

“As stated in my ‘Otunga Tips’ on Twitter ( @DavidOtunga), coffee is a natural diuretic, which helps the body excrete excess water and achieve a more ‘ripped’ appearance for television and photo shoots,” Otunga explained. “It also gives you an energy boost for your workouts.”

Otunga has also recently been honored for his build on WWE Classics’ recent list of “The 20 most impressive physiques in WWE history.”

“It was great to be on that list,” the cocky Superstar said. “I was ranked sixth, and although I would tend to say that I should be in the top three, I’m happy with sixth. At least I got that recognition, both from WWE.com and Muscle & Fitness.” ( LIST: WWE’S MOST IMPRESSIVE PHYSIQUES)

How will Otunga seek recognition next?

“Well, I just wrapped up my first film ‘The Hive,’ which comes out next year. So I’ve checked that off my list,” Otunga said with a smirk. “I’m in Muscle & Fitness and I was ranked as having one of the best bodies in WWE, so I’ve checked those off. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll write a book.”
