The latest issue of Variety magazine, out Oct. 21, offers an in-depth look at WWE Superstar John Cena’s foray into comedy in a feature dubbed “Company Man.”

The 15-time World Champion will appear in a pair of films in 2015, July’s “Trainwreck” and December’s “The Nest,” but it will be the first time Cena showcases his funny bone on the silver screen. Cena takes a break from filming and hitting the ring to talk to Variety about working with some of comedy’s brightest minds — Judd Apatow and Amy Schumer for “Trainwreck,” Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for “The Nest.” He also opens up on the Hollywood successes of in-ring rivals Dwayne “The Rock ” Johnson and Batista and why he wants to show he’s more than an action star.
