First introduced to WWE in 1979, the Intercontinental Championship has been held by a wide variety of unique and talented competitors from Don Muraco to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to Santino Marella. For some Superstars, winning this coveted title was the pinnacle of their career. For others, it was just the beginning.
