World Heavyweight Championship - Shawn Michaels

November 17, 2002 - December 15, 2002

Still relatively fresh into his WWE return, Shawn Michaels shocked the sports-entertainment world when he walked out of Survivor Series 2002 with the World Heavyweight Championship. The victory added yet another championship to HBK's already lengthy championship resume.

Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff had come up with a match called the Elimination Chamber and he felt it would be perfect for a championship match. The Elimination Chamber is perhaps, the most dangerous, diabolical structure in all of sports-entertainment. It consists of two miles of chain, more than 10 tons of steel and it's 36 feet in diameter. This inaugural match included Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Kane, Booker T, Rob Van Dam and Triple H - who was the current World Heavyweight Champion. The Elimination Chamber boiled down to Triple H and Michaels. Michaels staved off a Pedigree attempt and turned it into some Sweet Chin Music and he won the hellacious battle and picked up his fourth World Heavyweight Championship.
