WWE United States Championship - Nikita Koloff

August 17, 1986 - July 11, 1987

Nikita Koloff possessed one of the most-successful United States Championship reigns in the history of the prestigious championship. Koloff captured the U.S. Championship in Aug. 1986, when he defeated former champion Magnum T.A. in the finals of a tournament to fill a vacancy. He then went on to hold the title for an amazing 11 months.
