WWE United States Championship - Scott Hall

November 08, 1999 - December 19, 1999

Eight months after being stripped of the United States Championship, Scott Hall reclaimed the title after defeating Goldberg, Bret Hart and Sid Vicious in a Ladder Match on an edition of Monday Nitro. Unfortunately for Hall, he was once again stripped of the U.S. Championship after holding it for only a brief period of time. It was at Starrcade 1999 that Chris Benoit had walked out to the ring with the championship in hand. Apparently, a knee injury kept Hall from defending it. As a result, Benoit was awarded the U.S. Championship.
