November 12, 2001 - November 18, 2001

Edge challenged Kurt Angle for the United States Championship on an edition of Raw. Angle looked to have things going his way, as he had the ankle lock firmly in place. Edge snuck up behind Angle and rolled him up for the win and the United States Championship. Edge would go on to defeat Test six days later to unify the United States and Intercontinental Championships. The U.S. Championship was then declared inactive until July 27, 2003 when SmackDown! General Manager Stephanie McMahon brought it back exclusively to SmackDown
