When Scott Hall defeated Roddy Piper for the United States Championship at WCW SuperBrawl, it was assumed that Hall would enjoy a rather successful reign as champion, much like he did when he was Intercontinental Champion (as Razor Ramon) in WWE. This was not the case, however, as Hall's reign did not even last one month before Ric Flair stripped him of the title on the March 18, 1999, episode of Thunder.
