United States Championship - Lance Storm

July 18, 2000 - September 22, 2000

Lance Storm's first reign as United States Champion came on a Tuesday edition of Nitro. In a one-night tournament for the championship, which was stripped of Scott Steiner by The Cat, Storm defeated Mike Awesome to become champion. Storm, a native of Canada, quickly renamed the United States Championship the Canadian Championship. The name change was never officially recognized.
