In a highly competitive contest kicking off WWE Capitol Punishment 2011, Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston to win his first United States Championship. Following an assist from Vickie Guerrero, Ziggler was able to lock The Dreadlock Dynamo in the sleeper, causing Kingston to pass out.
