In his first act as Raw General Manager, Bret "Hit Man" Hart abdicated the United States Championship and put the title on the line in a match between R-Truth and The Miz. While The "Awesome One" employed his usual array of dastardly in-ring tactics, R-Truth humbled his cocky opponent in Toledo, Ohio and captured his first major singles title in WWE.
