Bret Hart had been rolling along with the Intercontinental Championship ever since SummerSlam, but the Mountie was able to catch him on an off night. At a live event in Springfield, Mass., The Mountie was able to pin Hart to capture the Intercontinental Championship. Despite beating one of the biggest names in sports-entertainment history for the title, The Mountie's reign wound up lasting a mere two days.
