Matt Striker's Word of the Week for 01/17/07
Hello, my students. It is I, Matt Striker, and I am pleased to bring you the most interactive edition of my Word of the Week to date. The word for this week is:
1. overparticular; fussy
2. snobbish or having the aloof attitude of a snob
Not Persephone, the mythical figure, and not Snickers. Need a moment? Have a Snickers. It's persnickety.
Persnickety means to be fussy, snobbish, a tad arrogant. Let's see. How can I use it in a sentence? You know what? I'm going to leave it to you, my students, to use it in a sentence.
Feel free to incorporate Kelly Kelly's disgusting display of debauchery. See, that's alliteration: when the same sound comes in a sentence. Oh, I've done it again. Oops. In any event, please feel free to use Kelly Kelly's display of her mammary glands and try to incorporate the word "persnickety."
When you have penned your mini masterpieces, email them to me for review and, if you are my student of the week, you might receive an accolade of some sort: perhaps a Matt Striker tie, a novelty pencil or argyle socks. That is your homework assignment. Be sure to return for class next week to receive another exciting task from me, Matt Striker, your teacher.
