Hello, my students. The wait is over. Your teacher, Matt Striker, is here and prepared to offer you another exciting edition of the Word of the Week. This week's word is a potentially confusing term for many of you small-minded ECW fans, so I will write slowly for you. This week's word is:

Concede (kuh n-seed)

1. To acknowledge as true, just, or proper; admit
2. To acknowledge (an opponent's victory, score, etc.) before it is officially established

Concede shouldn't be confused with conceited or cocky. Whereas some people say, "Matt Striker, you're conceited," I say, "No, no, no; I'm just convinced."

Now, if it was Spanish, it would be "with cede." "Con" being Spanish for "with." Moving on, concede: to give up, to submit. Let's use it in a sentence. After several feeble attempts, CM Punk failed miserably in his quest to make Hardcore Holly concede. Concede. Say it with me. Concede. Good. Of course, feel free to come up with your own sentence -- and make sure it's a clever one -- for your own personal, cranial exercises.
