Diary of Violence
I know I am supposed to talk about the upcoming Royal Rumble. I have been in one Rumble before and was the first person to initiate weapons into the Rumble. I lasted just two minutes, but in that time I gave Chris Jericho six stitches to the face, broke Bill DeMott's hand and injured Christian's ear. Pretty good for just two minutes work.
I would love to win it all and go to WrestleMania. It would put an exclamation point on a great career to be the main event on April 1. But for my main focus, I would like to talk about someone that actually main evented WrestleMania: Bam Bam Bigelow.
Bam Bam Bigleow was one of the greatest big men in our business. He is now wrestling the other greatest big man, Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy in heaven. Bam Bam was my friend and I loved watching him wrestle. He carried Lawrence Taylor to a match at WrerstleMania that proved just how good he was.
Bam Bam Bigelow came to ECW and was such a great addition to our roster. I remember watching him hurl Spike Dudley into the crowd and ECW fans surfing Spike. His matches with Rob Van Dam were awesome. RVD soaring through the air in Buffalo was breathtaking and the guy he landed on was Bam Bam.
Bigelow's matches with Tazz -- when they went through the ring and the stage -- shocked the world. The greatest thing about WWE 24/7 is that you can go and relive these moments. I watch them and watch the fans' reactions to these awesome events. ECW changed the wrestling business and Bam Bam Bigelow helped pave the way with his unselfishness and amazing athletic ability.
You are sorely missed, Bammer. Thanks for the memories. My heart goes out to your family. Your family of ECW misfits loves you very much. Give your English bulldog a kiss on the head for me and Beulah. I will see you again, my friend.
