NXT TakeOver: Rival leaves WWE Hall of Famers, Legends and Superstars buzzing
Members of the WWE Universe weren’t the only ones raving about NXT TakeOver: Rival after the live special went off the air. WWE Hall of Famers, Legends and current Superstars and Divas took to Twitter to praise the future of WWE.
Finn Bálor and Adrian Neville’s epic clash to become No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship dropped the jaws of everyone watching the painted warrior battle NXT’s resident high-flyer, including a high-profile advocate:

Not to be upstaged, NXT’s Divas continued to show why they are changing the way people look at women in sports-entertainment. After a grueling Fatal 4-Way Match that had the Full Sail University crowd on their feet, Sasha Banks pinned Charlotte to capture the NXT Women’s Title. The match got The Boss and her rivals well-deserved praise:

The controversial main event, which saw Kevin Owens take the NXT Championship from Sami Zayn in a show of brute force that left the referee with no choice but to stop the carnage and award Owens the title, left everyone in awe of the new champion’s ruthlessness. Those in the industry, however, were impressed with Owens’ display of brutality. Even WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan recognized that the future of WWE has changed:
Great, brutal start to the next chapter in the story of @FightOwensFight vs @iLikeSamiZayn #NXTTakeOver #OhCanada
