The Undisputed ERA will be in the house
NXT Champion Adam Cole emerged from TakeOver: Toronto with the title around his waist, but the same can’t be said of his Undisputed ERA running mates, all of whom pledged to be draped in championship gold following the event. There are, however, asterisks attached.
Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly contend that the wrong man was pinned in their title showdown with NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, and a video replay shown on last week’s episode proved that their claim holds water. And while Roderick Strong fell short in his quest to win the NXT North American Title Triple Threat Match in Toronto, it’s important to note that Velveteen Dream retained the title by pinning Pete Dunne, not Strong.
Factor in the black-and-gold brand’s upcoming move to USA Network — a massive announcement that sent shockwaves throughout sports-entertainment — and it’s safe to say The Undisputed ERA aren’t about to give up on fulfilling their all-gold-everything prophecy. To find out exactly what that means for the landscape of NXT, tune in to WWE Network.
