Drew McIntyre gears up for NXT Championship opportunity
It’s official: Drew McIntyre is next in line to challenge NXT Champion Bobby Roode.
The 6-foot-5 slayer from Ayr, Scotland, is slated to battle The Glorious One at Takeover: Brooklyn III on Saturday, Aug. 19. McIntyre punched his ticket to Takeover last week by defeating Killian Dain. The huge victory not only continued McIntyre’s undefeated streak in NXT, but also snapped Dain’s once-perfect record.
Now that The Beast of Belfast is in his rearview mirror and a match with Roode lies ahead, what is McIntyre’s mindset? How is the former “Chosen One” preparing for the biggest NXT Championship Match of the summer and arguably the most important match of his career? Find out tonight on NXT, exclusively on WWE Network.
