Can NXT Women’s Champion Asuka eliminate her competition?
For the better part of her 438-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion, the question has remained the same: Can anyone stop Asuka?
In last month’s Triple Threat Match at TakeOver: Chicago, Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross came as close as anybody to dethroning the undefeated Empress of Tomorrow — which is to say, not all that close. Asuka pinned both challengers at the same time, emphatically crossing a 174-win milestone in NXT.
Riot and Cross, two of the most dangerous and unpredictable forces in the Women’s division, will have another chance to take down the untouchable Asuka tonight when they challenge her in a rematch from Chi-Town. One key difference this time around, however, is that the match will be fought under elimination rules. Not only that, but Riot and Cross now have an idea of what’s in store for them when they enter battle with The Empress of Tomorrow.
Which athlete will leave Full Sail University’s battle of attrition with the NXT Women’s Championship? Find out tonight when NXT streams on the award-winning WWE Network at 8/7 C.
