NXT Champion Samoa Joe def. Mojo Rawley (Non-Title Match)

Mojo Rawley vs. Samoa Joe: WWE NXT, Aug. 10, 2016

After being blindsided by NXT Champion Samoa Joe last week, Mojo Rawley came storming out of the gates, taking the fight to the titleholder with an overpowering burst of intensity. Despite an impressive showing from the SmackDown Live Superstar, the titleholder ultimately forced him to tap out to the Coquina Clutch.

The Samoan Bulldozer then sent a message to Shinsuke Nakamura after the contest, locking in the devastating submission move once again on his fallen opponent. The King of Strong Style would soon arrive, followed by a swarm of security guards determined to keep these TakeOver: Brooklyn II opponents separated until their huge NXT Championship showdown.

Security ultimately had to use their entire taskforce to hold back an enraged Joe as Nakamura toyed with the titleholder, first by grabbing Joe’s nose, then by slapping him in the face. While these two warriors will battle it out on Saturday, Aug. 20, live on the award-winning WWE Network, Nakamura has already set the stage for an explosive showdown, thanks to his pre-match psychological warfare.
