As the world continues to buzz about the historic NXT TakeOver: Dallas special, one of NXT’s newest rivalries takes center stage on WWE Network tonight.
“The Drifter” Elias Samson reacted poorly to being handed his first loss two weeks ago, viciously attacking Johnny Gargano while berating the independent standout. But when Apollo Crews came to his friend’s aid, Samson backed off quite quickly. One week later, The Drifter interrupted a post-match celebration of Crews, crooning a tune about the pain that awaited Crews in the future.
Now, the two rivals will finally face off inside the NXT ring. Crews is red-hot after his impressive debut on Monday Night Raw. However, that gives Samson even more reason to go all out, in hopes of spoiling Crews’ incredible week.
