My favorite WrestleMania moment: NXT Superstars discuss memories from The Show of Shows
As the momentous 30th annual WrestleMania nears, ‘Mania fever has taken over the entire WWE, and NXT is no exception. This week, NXT Superstars reflected on their memories from The Showcase of the Immortals that shaped their lives.
"The No-Disqualification Submission Match between “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Bret "Hit Man"Hart at Wrestlemania 13 is the best ever. The buildup, the presentation and the fallout make this, in my opinion, the greatest match in WrestleMania history. On that evening, my childhood met my adolescence, as the torch was passed from Bret Hart to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. I truly believe that on that night, the heir apparent to the WWE throne was named and WWE began its transition into The Attitude Era." — Colin Cassady

"One of my favorite moments was WrestleMania XXV and the very first WrestleMania match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Right from the beginning, when The Undertaker and Shawn stood across the ring from each other and the crowd was going crazy, I genuinely sat there thinking, ‘Whoa, I don't know if The Undertaker can win this one.’ Moments like that are why I love this business.” — Sasha Banks
"My favorite WrestleMania moment is from WrestleMania XXIV in Orlando in 2008 when my dad (Ric Flair) faced Shawn Michaels. I was able to sit front row with my three other siblings and watch my dad wrestle for the last time in his career with WWE. To sit and watch over 82,000 people stand and applaud someone who gave their entire life to this industry is a surreal moment. I know it was the proudest and hardest moment of my dad’s life, and everyone in that stadium could feel and share the same emotion with our family." — Charlotte
"It is very hard to pick just one favorite WrestleMania moment, but if I had to, I would also pick WrestleMania XXIV with Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels. Just seeing the passion and perseverance of Flair until the very end was truly spectacular and makes me so proud to be a part of this business. The moment when Shawn Michaels uttered those fateful words, ‘I'm sorry, I love you,’ before hitting Flair with Sweet Chin Music was just awe-inspiring. Flair left everything possible in the ring." — Mojo Rawley

"Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock at WrestleMania X8, without a doubt. You had two icons and two generations being represented one-on-one. This was also the first time that The Rock as The People's Champion got booed. I think that's the loudest crowd I have ever heard. I still get goose bumps watching this match and how great the buildup to it was. It’s the kind of moment and emotion that make you want to give everything you have for this job." — Sylvester Lefort
"WrestleMania XII with Shawn Michaels, when the boyhood dream came true. The picture of him holding the WWE Championship in his lap with tears streaming down his face got me a little choked up. No matter how many times they play it in highlight reels, it’s one of those pictures that really is worth a thousand words. I feel every ounce of emotion Shawn felt because of that, the way everyone who ever achieves their dreams would feel." — Bayley
"My WrestleMania moment was WrestleMania XIX at Safeco Field in Seattle. I teamed up with Big Show to take on The Undertaker in a Handicap Match. I will never forget standing behind the curtain while The Undertaker made his entrance to the ring. Limp Bizkit performed his theme music live as The Deadman rode his motorcycle to the ring. I remember the specific moment that Big Show and I were standing there, just before we entered. I looked over at the motorcycle and then at The Undertaker in the ring and thought to myself, ‘What an amazing moment this is.’ I also consider myself lucky to have been part of The Streak, which I personally feel will never be broken." — Jason Albert
