In their match last week on WWE 205 Live, The Brian Kendrick tied Akira Tozawa's leg to the ring apron to win by count-out. The Man with a Plan called it a lesson for the Japanese Superstar who refused to be taken under Kendrick's wing. Following the match, Kendrick promised he wasn't done teaching Tozawa lessons.

A man of his word, The Brian Kendrick struck once again on Raw. Following an impressive victory against Noam Dar —and the announcement of Kendrick and Dar battling Tozawa and Rich Swann on the WWE Fastlane Kickoff — Tozawa was set to be interviewed by Austin Aries when Kendrick attacked. His lesson for the Japanese competitor was simple: Even when the match is over, it's not over.
