WWE.com Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at WrestleMania Night 2?

Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan (Triple Threat Match) (PREVIEW)
WINNER: Edge
BURDICK: The sheer determination of The Rated-R Superstar is what has allowed him to return and main-event WrestleMania. Ten years to the day after he was forced to retire as a World Champion, Edge will finally get it all back.

WINNER: Edge
BARILE: Roman Reigns is in a precarious situation. He does not have to be pinned or submit to lose his championship, and that’s why Edge will complete his comeback prophecy to, somehow, capture a title he has never held before in his WWE Hall of Fame career.

WINNER: Edge
GARRETSON: The Rated-R Superstar is a World Champion again after never losing his title 10 years ago.

WINNER: Edge
CHIK: Daniel Bryan made Roman Reigns tap out at WWE Fastlane, albeit out of the sight of the official, but ensnaring him in the “Yes!” Lock and neutralizing Edge for long enough to force another tap from The Head of the Table is an extremely tall order. And you don’t get a nickname like The Ultimate Opportunist without knowing when to pick your spot, a key tactic in a Triple Threat Match.

WWE.com Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at WrestleMania Night 2?

Raw Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley (PREVIEW)
WINNER: Rhea Ripley
BURDICK: The Empress is about have a WrestleMania Nightmare.

WINNER: Rhea Ripley
BARILE: Asuka has been Raw Women’s Champion for the better part of a year, but Rhea Ripley is hungrier than ever for a WrestleMania moment after losing the NXT Title to Charlotte Flair last year. The Nightmare’s brutality will prove to be too much for The Empress on this night.

WINNER: Rhea Ripley
GARRETSON: The Nightmare *is* ready for Asuka

WINNER: Asuka
CHIK: Since May 2020, Asuka emerged from a wild free-for-all inside WWE Headquarters to win the Women’s Money in the Bank contract, defeated the likes of Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax in some edge-of-your-seat title fights, and returned to brutalize Shayna Baszler mere weeks after having her tooth kicked out by The Queen of Spades. Though Rhea Ripley presents a daunting challenge and is guaranteed to brutalize the champion, it’s hard to doubt Asuka after such an incredible year.

WWE.com Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at WrestleMania Night 2?

The Fiend vs. Randy Orton (PREVIEW)
WINNER: The Fiend
BURDICK: The Viper is a 14-time World Champion, but he is messing with forces he doesn’t understand.

WINNER: The Fiend
BARILE: The Fiend was literally burned alive and is somehow back on his own two feet. Need we say more?

WINNER: The Fiend
GARRETSON: Hard to pick against the man(?) who came back after being set on fire.

WINNER: The Fiend
CHIK: Randy Orton literally set The Fiend on fire and watched him burn… and it wasn’t enough to get rid of him. The Viper is an all-time great, but The Fiend and Alexa Bliss have been dictating the terms of this bitter rivalry for months.

WWE.com Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at WrestleMania Night 2?

Intercontinental Champion Big E vs. Apollo Crews (Nigerian Drum Match) (PREVIEW)
WINNER: Big E
BURDICK: Don’t let the hype fool ya. This is the time and place for The Powerhouse of Positivity, and Big E will have a very big win this Sunday.

WINNER: Big E
BARILE: It may be a Nigerian Drum Fight, but Apollo Crews has invoked the wrath of Big E one too many times. It won’t be Mr. Nice Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania. Big E is all business and poised to bang the final beat in Crews’ drum once and for all.

WINNER: Apollo Crews
GARRETSON: Time to recognize royalty.

WINNER: Apollo Crews
CHIK: Do you believe in “due”? Thus far, Apollo Crews is 0-for-3 in his attempts to take the Intercontinental Title from Big E, but every bout has been competitive. And since they’re battling in a Nigerian Drum Fight, not only is Crews due for a win, but he’s also got “homefield advantage.”

WWE.com Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at WrestleMania Night 2?

United States Champion Riddle vs. Sheamus (PREVIEW)
WINNER: Riddle
BURDICK: The Original Bro may have fallen to Sheamus on Raw, but that is not happening twice. Riddle will not only come out with the win, but will probably have three or four great marketing ideas in the process.

WINNER: Sheamus
BARILE: Riddle might just be taking The Celtic Warrior a little too lightly, and the end result will be a hungrier-than-ever Sheamus capturing the United States Championship for the first time in nearly seven years.

WINNER: Riddle
GARRETSON: Could sneakily be one of the best matches of the weekend.

WINNER: Riddle
CHIK: One of WWE’s most laid-back Superstars taking on one of its most short-tempered. Look for Riddle to keep his cool and capitalize on a misfire from an overly aggressive Sheamus in a title fight that could easily steal the show.

WWE.com Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at WrestleMania Night 2?

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (PREVIEW)
WINNER: Kevin Owens
BURDICK: This is going to be a classic slugfest, and few Superstars are tougher than KO in that arena.

WINNER: Kevin Owens
BARILE: Kevin Owens has made his intentions very clear: to bring Sami Zayn back to reality … and to jump off the pirate ship at Raymond James Stadium. The risk will be worth the reward, and Owens will triumph at KOMania V.

WINNER: Kevin Owens
GARRETSON: WrestleMania becomes “The KO Show.”

WINNER: Kevin Owens
CHIK: After being derided by Seth Rollins for his lack of success under the bright lights of The Showcase of the Immortals, KO has suddenly turned into one of WWE’s clutch big-event players, as evidenced by his death-defying leap from the WrestleMania sign against Rollins last year and his incredible Universal Title Matches against Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble and WWE TLC. Zayn, meanwhile, seems a bit too preoccupied with his documentary to match wits and fists with his laser-focused nemesis.

WWE.com Editors’ Predictions: Who will win at WrestleMania Night 2?

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax vs. Natalya & Tamina (PREVIEW)

WINNER: Natalya & Tamina
BURDICK: New champions. It’s a family thing.

WINNER: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax
BARILE: Aside from the one slip-up against Asuka & Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler have simply been unbeatable as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. And no matter who their opponents are, that will not change on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

WINNER: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax
GARRETSON: A fresh Baszler & Jax are too much for any challengers.
