Mickey Rourke to attend WrestleMania
WWE and star of The Wrestler Mickey Rourke have announced that the actor will attend the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.
Rourke will be at Reliant Stadium on Sunday to support WWE Hall of Famers and Legends Ric Flair, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat as they face off against Chris Jericho, the Raw Superstar who has given these influential personalities anything but respect.
Rourke challenged Jericho to a match at WrestleMania live from the red carpet of the SAG Awards, a statement he later retracted when confronted by Jericho on Larry King Live. He won the Golden Globe Award, SAG Award, BAFTA Award, and Independent Spirit Award for Best Actor for his performance as Randy "The Ram" Robinson in The Wrestler.
Now that he is attending the annual pop culture extravaganza, Jericho will not only be looking to defeat the Legends, but also to show Rourke the difference between being a movie actor and a real Superstar.
