WrestleMania XIV event venue: FleetCenter

FleetCenter
On September 29, 1995, the old Boston Garden closed its doors to the public for the last time, making way for the FleetCenter.

The FleetCenter is best recognized as home to two of the most storied franchises in all of sports (the NHL's Boston Bruins and NBA's Boston Celtics).

It hosted the 2004 Democratic National Convention.

The venue has also played host to the 1998 NCAA Hockey Championship, and the first and second rounds of the 1999 and 2003 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. It also hosted the 2001 US Figure Skating Championships, the 1996 and 2000 US Gymnastics Trials and the 1996 NHL All-Star Game.

World Wrestling Entertainment held center stage with WrestleMania XIV in 1998, the night Stone Cold Steve Austin captured his first WWE Championship. The special enforcer for the match was former heavyweight boxing Champion "Iron" Mike Tyson.
