Charlotte Bobcats Arena

Tonight, WWE makes its second visit to Charlotte, North Carolina's Charlotte Bobcats Arena for Vengeance. The first time WWE came to the Uptown Arena (as it's locally known) was late January 2006 when Charlotte legend Ric Flair teamed with John Cena to take on Edge & Chris Masters. Flair & Cena were victorious, as Cena finished the match by slapping the STFU on Masters for the win. Also that night, the Spirit Squad made their RAW debut, helping Coach qualify for the final RAW slot in the Royal Rumble by surrounding the ring and distracting Coach's opponent, Jerry "The King" Lawler, long enough for Coach to roll "The King" up for the 1-2-3.

The Charlotte Bobcats Arena is home to the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats and the WNBA's Charlotte Sting. It's also the home ice for the ECHL's Charlotte Checkers. Its open walkways, terraces, and exposed staircases were designed to create a sense of community and to encourage conversation between guests. The artwork hanging on the walls is meant to reflect the rich sports, industry and commerce history of the region. The CBA's grand opening was in October 2005 with a performance by rock ‘n' roll Gods, the Rolling Stones. U2, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravits, Clay Aiken, and Dolly Parton all made appearances thereafter.

Tonight's Vengeance pay-per-view will unquestionably leave the North Carolina crowd with a lot to digest. Will D-Generation X's long awaited return be spoiled by the Spirit Squad? Can John Cena adjust to ECW rules when he takes on Sabu in their Extreme Lumberjack Match?  Will hometown hero Ric Flair be able to win 2 out of 3 falls in his battle with Mick Foley? Will Edge win back the WWE Championship from ECW's Rob Van Dam? All this and more will be decided tonight at Vengeance, live 8/7 CT from the Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, N.C.
