Animal heads for South Philly

Tonight at Survivor Series, Batista will look to seize another opportunity at sports-entertainment's richest prize, when he faces King Booker for the World Heavyweight Championship. The site of this year's Thanksgiving spectacular is Philadelphia's Wachovia Center, the same place the Animal was forced to relinquish the gold due to injury back in January.

"Philadelphia is a very special place for me," said Batista. "It broke my heart having to surrender the title there, so I'm thankful for the chance to take it back in the very same arena."

This year has been an up and down year for the Animal.  A devastating injury took him out of action in January, putting an end to one of the most dominant title reigns in recent WWE history. A dramatic return from the injury in July put him back in the title scene. However, repeated controversial defeats have kept the Championship around King Booker's waist. On Sunday, Batista hopes his 2006 will come full circle.

"Getting in that ring is going to be very emotional for me," said the former World Champ. "I don't really believe in astrology or anything, but I definitely feel like the stars are aligned for me to take back what's mine, and that's the World Heavyweight Championship.

Tonight, Batista's quest will headline the annual Survivor Series spectacular. You can see it all for yourself, live at 8/7 CT and only on pay-per-view.
