The Gund Arena - Cleveland, OH 

While LeBron James of the Celeveland Cavaliers is attracting huge crowds night in and night out during the NBA season, it was SummerSlam that attracted a huge crowd in August of 1996 when Shawn Michaels overcame the odds against the mammoth Vader.

The ground breaking for Gund Arena took place in April 1992 and it took two-and-a-half years to build the facility. Gund Arena officially opened its doors to the public on Oct. 17, 1994 with Billy Joel as the grand opening performer. Each year Gund Arena hosts more than two million people who attend close to 200 events including Cavaliers basketball, world-class concerts, spectacular family shows and signature sporting events.
