LONDON - World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger reigned supreme in an explosive Triple Threat Match against Edge and Chris Jericho, as SmackDown traveled across the pond.

Four days after Raw Guest Host David Hasselhoff announced that World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger will face Randy Orton for the World Title at Extreme Rules (match preview), SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long attempted to launch a preemptive strike. With both Chris Jericho and Edge claiming that they were the Superstar to keep the coveted title on SmackDown, Long made a pre-Extreme Rules Triple Threat World Championship Match. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

In the midst of Triple Threat fury, Jericho looked ready to use Edge's own finisher against him. But, at the last second, The Rated-R Superstar turned the tables on the "best in the world at what he does," blasting him with the Spear once again. However, when The Ultimate Opportunist went for the cover, Jack Swagger suddenly yanked him out of the ring and grabbed the huge pin for himself.

Before the smoke could clear on his first title defense, "The All-American American" hit the war torn Edge with a post-match Gutwrentch Powerbomb. Then, as the World Champ made his exit from the ring, Jericho reentered and proceeded to brutalize Edge's previously injured ankle while it was trapped inside the steel ring steps.
