As announced Monday on Raw, WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust & Cody Rhodes will square off against The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper & Erick Rowan tonight on SmackDown. Coming off their decimation of Daniel Bryan at WWE TLC, the Wyatts look stronger — and creepier — than ever. The image of leader Bray Wyatt cradling the limp body of his fallen opponent will resonate with the WWE Universe for a long time and has served to further the ominous aura surrounding the terrifying trio.

But the tag champs are riding high in their own right, as the brothers Rhodes successfully defended their illustrious titles at Sunday’s pay-per-view in a WWE Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way Match. And with WWE’s tag team division quickly becoming as good as it’s ever been, all eyes will be on this bout as the Wyatts look to enter into title contention.

Tonight, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton comes to SmackDown for the first time since his historic victory over John Cena at WWE TLC. After The Viper’s appalling display Monday on Raw — a display that included a low blow on Daniel Bryan and ended with an RKO of the Cenation leader, by the way — Orton will open the blue brand. But will he do so with a bang? And, for that matter, will there be someone standing in his way to fire back?

Despite his pay-per-view win, the Face of WWE still seemingly has a chip on his shoulder, and he appears as vicious as ever. But there’s a growing list of Superstars ready and willing to knock said chip off The Viper’s shoulders — Cena and The Beard chief among them. One has to believe that one or both of those former champions will look for retribution tonight on the blue brand!
