Randy Orton and “Cowboy” Bob Orton injury update

Randy Orton and “Cowboy” Bob Orton injury update

Following the vicious attack by Kane on both Randy Orton and his father WWE Hall of Famer “Cowboy” Bob Orton during SuperSmackDown LIVE: Blast From the Past on Tuesday night, both competitors were taken to a local medical facility for treatment.

Prior to authorizing their departure Tuesday, WWE physician Dr. Michael Samson examined the Ortons. Not having seen the attack on The Viper’s father, he admitted there was no way of knowing the full extent of his injuries. However, he did indicate the WWE Hall of Famer showed bruising and abrasions and has requested X-rays and possibly an MRI to provide further assistance in a diagnosis. Later, during SuperSmackDown, it was reported by Josh Mathews that Orton’s father had indeed suffered abdominal injuries.

The onslaught Randy Orton suffered to his back and abdomen, thanks The Big Red Monster’s metal pipe, also left visual bruising and abrasions. With the history of WWE’s Apex Predator’s back problems – including a herniated disc injury that took him out of action – Dr. Samson stressed that every precaution will be taken before a more concrete diagnosis is determined.

Whether Kane’s vicious assault caused any permanent physical damage remains to be seen. But, one thing is for sure. The monstrous rage inside of The Devil’s Favorite Demon remains and there is no telling when and where it will strike next.
