The Rock spotted at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center, site of Royal Rumble 2015

UPDATE 7:04 p.m.: WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon tweeted the following picture of The Rock snapping a selfie with his mother at ringside at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center:

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has set the sports-entertainment world abuzz through The Great One's accounts on Twitter and Facebook by posting a photo of himself sitting outside Philadelphia's famed Geno's Steaks restaurant -- not far from the site of tonight's Royal Rumble event, live on WWE Network.

The first tweet came at 11:28 p.m. last night and was accompanied by the photo. Rock then posted a second tweet at 1:17 p.m. today that linked to his Instagram account.

The Great One has a famed history with the Rumble event. He has headlined it and competed in the titular Royal Rumble Match multiple times, even emerging as the victor of said match in 2000. As the WWE Universe knows, the Royal Rumble Match is known for its surprise entrants and there would be no such appearance greater than the former WWE Champion, himself. Will we see The Rock appear as one of those possible surprises?

Or perhaps he has something else planned for the event if he does indeed show up? Does The People’s Champion perhaps have unfinished business with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar that Rock will look to resolve live tonight in Philly?

Superstars are buzzing on social media about a potential Rock appearance, with some alerting the WWE Universe that they haven't seen The People's Champion backstage yet.

Will The Great One, who's known for making surprise appearances as he did this past fall in Brooklyn on Monday Night Raw, appear live tonight? Stay with for continued coverage and updates, plus, tune in to Royal Rumble 2015 tonight at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on WWE Network.
